Position Overview:

The Coffee Shop Barista and Cashier is responsible for processing payments at the point of sale while preparing and serving a variety of food and beverage items to patrons. This role emphasizes the importance of food presentation quality and requires adherence to attendance policies.

Compensation:
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $22.00, in addition to tips.

Benefits for Part-Time Employees:
Eligible part-time employees will have access to a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Additionally, employees will accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Note: This is an evergreen role; applications are accepted continuously without a set deadline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales transactions accurately by entering orders and completing payment procedures.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels and communicate any shortages to the Cafe Lead.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal of waste and washing of dishes.
  • Serve beverages, including alcoholic options, responsibly, ensuring compliance with age verification regulations.
  • Uphold sanitation, health, and safety standards within the work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of three months of experience in the food service sector is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive demeanor are essential for interaction with colleagues and customers.
