About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at a premier manufacturing company in Charlotte, NC. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose, install, repair, test, and calibrate complex AC and DC electrical systems.
  2. Perform preventative and routine maintenance on all equipment.
  3. Assist with training of operators in maintenance tasks.
  4. Assist operators with machine troubleshooting to correct quality issues and minimize downtime.
  5. Evaluate trends/patterns on repaired equipment and implement actions to eliminate repetitive repair work.
  6. Install new equipment or perform upgrades to existing equipment.
  7. Sourcing and ordering parts as needed and assist in the management of the spare parts area.

Requirements:

  • Certificate, degree, or apprenticeship in an electrical or electronics trade.
  • North Carolina electrical license (required).
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of 480V 3 phase power.
  • Experience with mechanical power transfer systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Competent in reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Forklift operation, crane operation, and rigging experience.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a natural preference to see things orderly.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • The ability to see colors.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA electrical standards for industrial machinery.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting basic experience, especially Siemens.
  • Familiar with the National Electrical Code NFPA 70 (preferred).
