Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Pediatric Orthopedics team at Phoenix Children's Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric orthopedics or a related field, with a strong focus on providing exceptional patient care. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with attending physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health histories, physical assessments, and develop plans for infants, children, and young adults with acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Order and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, and perform other therapeutic or corrective measures to treat illness and improve health status.
  • Formulate family-centered plans of care, document daily as needed, and collaborate and coordinate care with other team members.
  • Collections data and analyze when necessary.
  • Perform advanced procedures associated with their credentialing process DOP.
  • Utilize the most up-to-date and evidence-based practices for plan of care and alter the plan according to family needs and effectiveness.
  • Serve as an educational resource to patient/family/nursing staff/provider team and other healthcare teams as needed.
  • Participate in own professional development by maintaining required competences, certifying body renewals, seeking educational offerings when available, and participating in the professional development of others which may include Advanced Practice Provider students, Residents and Medical Students.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Experience in pediatric orthopedics or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
