Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Phoenix Children's Hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric orthopedic care and be passionate about delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves providing outpatient physical therapy services to children from school age through adolescence/young adulthood. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of sports injuries and orthopedic-related diagnoses, including musculoskeletal injuries, overuse syndromes, neurologic insults, and trauma.
  • Apply evidence-based principles to all aspects of care, taking into account the child's age, athletic activity level, and developmental stage.
  • Develop treatment plans with functional and measurable goals, and collaborate with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Implement treatment modalities such as exercise, neuromuscular re-education, joint and soft tissue mobilization, taping, electrical stimulation, and thermal modalities, as prescribed by a physician.
  • Provide patient and family education on maximizing function and return to activity/sport within the home/community and implementation of home programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Joint Commission, state/federal guidelines, and CARF standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Arizona.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients, particularly those with orthopedic conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
