Job Description: As a Food Service Worker at the Northwest Annex, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our dining facility. You will be responsible for preparing, serving, and cleaning up after meals, while maintaining a high level of quality and customer service. You will work closely with our management team to ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. About the Role: The successful candidate will have prior experience in a food service or customer service role, although this is not essential. You will need to be able to pass a military background screen to obtain base access. You will also need to have knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and serve meals within a fast-paced dining facility.
  2. Clean up after meals, including washing dishes and sanitizing equipment.
  3. Maintain quality standards as outlined in the SOW and administered by those responsible for evaluating quality of services.
  4. Provide quality customer service and maintain positive lines of communication with government personnel working in the facility.
  5. Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained in a condition that is safe and effective.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  2. Prior experience in a food service or customer service role is preferred but not required.
  3. Ability to pass a military background screen to obtain base access required.
  4. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers and customers.
  7. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Salary: $4.57 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, and 401(k) options. This position also offers paid time off and opportunities for professional development. Environmental Factors:

This position requires working in a fast-paced dining facility that contains multiple people performing various tasks. The environment will contain large ovens, stoves, mixers, and other commercial kitchen equipment that will be operating while the worker is performing their duties. A commercial dishwasher will generate heat and humidity during the performance of a variety of tasks, including operating the dishwasher. Work will be performed in a government facility where the employee must be able to pass the background security check performed by VersAbility Resources and the Government. The employee will be working in a facility that provides a service to military personnel.
