About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues. Your expertise will aid in diagnosing medical issues and providing accurate results to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues
  • Administer contrast materials and prepare patients for CT exams
  • Position patients to capture the appropriate images
  • Assess patient's clinical history and adjust techniques and protocols on equipment to correspond to patient habitus and pathology
  • Research lab values for patient and inject contrast under the direction of Radiologist as required
  • Perform exams and transfer results from the CT console to Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS)
  • Observe patients constantly and respond to any adverse reactions to ensure safety
  • Work with referring physicians to ensure the correct exam is ordered and performed for the patient
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment to ensure full calibration and complete functioning
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists
  • Current license by the State of Ohio as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of CT experience
  • Two years of experience in diagnostic radiology in order to be eligible for on-site training in CT scanning
