Job Overview

Position Summary: The Relocation Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the driver with the careful and secure loading, unloading, arrangement, and fastening of household items and various goods being transported. This position requires a keen sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential to the role, though additional tasks may be assigned as necessary:

  1. Safely pads, protects, lifts, and carries furniture, appliances, and boxes.
  2. Follows all safety regulations set forth by the government and the company.
  3. Packs delicate items with utmost care and precision.
  4. Selects appropriate packing materials tailored for each specific job.
  5. Documents inventory and assets as needed, ensuring accurate records of furniture.
  6. Maintains the safety and integrity of items during transport, ensuring proper placement within the vehicle for safe travel.
  7. Fosters positive relationships with customers through excellent service.
  8. Assists in minor disassembly and reassembly of furniture as required.
  9. Arrives punctually at work and job sites.
  10. Exhibits a professional demeanor at all times.
  11. Employees with a valid driver's license may be requested to operate company vehicles.
  12. Completes other related tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to effectively perform the essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this role, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and occasionally taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include peripheral and distance vision.
