Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals to join our faculty team as Assistant Professors of Marine Biology and Ecology. The successful candidates will be expected to teach introductory marine science, upper-level marine biology lecture and laboratory, and upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses within their areas of expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students in the classroom and/or laboratory, preparing content, syllabi, and University Moodle/curricular site for each course and/or lab assigned each semester.
  • Conduct research to create and add to knowledge in a field, including the advancement of new theories and principles to improve educational effectiveness.
  • Train students in related research techniques, post and hold regular office hours each week, and engage in University-related activities.
  • Serve as the primary academic advisor for marine science students as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in marine science, marine biology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in teaching and research in marine science and ecology.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a viable externally funded research program.
