Welding Instructor

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two-year community/technical college offering over 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs. With three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, HGTC provides students with a range of academic and career opportunities.

We are seeking a full-time Welding instructor to teach Welding courses at any Horry-Georgetown Technical College campus location. The successful candidate will be accountable to the department chair for the fulfillment of their duties, responsibilities, authority, and relationships.

• Prepare and instruct classroom using multiple teaching methods, including technology.
• Assist in evaluating student achievement of learning outcomes.
• Assist in maintaining lab and classroom equipment.
• Function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.

Certificate degree in Welding Technology with AWS (American Welding Society) and CWE (Certified Welding Educator) certification. Three years of teaching or training experience in the classroom or industry setting.

American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and Certified Welding Educator (CWE) credential with 5 years' supervisory experience in industry and 5 years teaching experience at the post-secondary education level. Associate degree desirable.
