Overview
As a CT Technologist at CHI, you will perform technical diagnostic CT imaging procedures. Every day, you will review and verify physician's orders, perform CT exams, communicate with patients about the diagnostic test, and start patient IVs. CHI has been caring for communities in and surrounding the Brazos Valley, with a Level III Trauma Center, the first Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center, and the first accredited Chest Pain Center in the region. We are a leader in critical care and the largest provider of cardiovascular care in the region. Our integrated healthcare system includes a comprehensive network of over 100 employed providers, including primary care physicians, specialists, and advanced practice clinicians. Responsibilities
  • Perform CT exams
  • Prepare equipment
  • Ensure equipment and room maintenance after each procedure
  • Complete all quality checks and maintain equipment logs
  • Review physician orders to verify the type of diagnostic test requested
  • Inform patients of the diagnostic procedure being performed

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required
  • Experience: No prior experience required

Required Certifications and Licenses
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (R) upon hire or transfer
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (CT) within 9 months of hire or transfer
  • Certified by the state of TexasMRAD upon hire or transfer
  • BLS-CPR, 14-day grace period
