Job Title: Quality Control Director

Gilbane Federal is seeking a highly experienced Quality Control Director to join our team. As a key member of our Federal Business Unit, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of our Quality Assurance and Quality Control Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update our documented company QC program to ensure compliance with industry and Federal government QC requirements.
  • Serve as the point of contact with the Division for Government entities on QA/QC practices, questions, topics, and issues.
  • Lead a team of QC personnel in a matrix organization, assigning qualified individuals to projects and ensuring contract qualifications are met.
  • Manage and maintain a robust Quality Audit program for Federal projects, responding to Non-Compliance reports and crafting cogent and appropriate responses.
  • Provide streamlined project-specific QC plan templates for prime IDIQ contracts that comply with contract requirements.
  • Review and approve project-specific QC Plans, establishing QC Program early start-up and close-out processes and monitoring metrics.
  • Interface with Business Unit and Operations Management on QC needs and program implementation.
  • Coordinate and work with Corporate QA personnel to achieve integrated programs.
  • Conduct training for project Quality Control Managers on our three-phase Quality Process.
  • Travel to construction projects to perform assessments as required.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in industry, with at least 10 years of US Department of Defense (DoD) quality control management experience as a contractor.
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification as Quality Auditor or Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence.
  • USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors training certification preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
