Job Overview

The AC by Marriott Hotel at the Vancouver Waterfront is actively seeking a dedicated Customer Service Agent to enhance our guest experience.

This modern hotel features 150 rooms and offers 7,000 sq ft of event space with stunning river views, a restaurant and lounge with outdoor seating, and breathtaking vistas of the Columbia River.

As a Hospitality Service Specialist, you will be the face of the hotel, engaging with guests throughout their stay. This role encompasses various front desk responsibilities, including managing reservations, addressing guest inquiries, and handling telephone communications.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Utilize effective selling techniques to promote room bookings and additional hotel services, adhering to established procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with guest service protocols, including check-in, reservations, check-out, special requests, and pre-registration.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries or complaints, offering alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to guest satisfaction through hospitable and accommodating service.
  • Document any guest incidents by completing the necessary accident report forms.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred, or 6 months of relevant experience/training.
  • Preferred one year of experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience with cash handling and credit card transactions.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
