Foundations Program Adjunct Faculty Position

The University of North Texas System is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our team in the College of Visual Arts and Design. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.
Job SummaryWe are looking for an Adjunct Instructor with expertise in Design, Visual Art, or a related discipline to teach in our Foundations Program. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of various approaches to teaching in the Foundations curriculum and be able to facilitate student learning to achieve a cohesive curriculum goal.
Responsibilities- Teach students to understand creative processes, the transferability of skill, and conceptual thinking in art and design disciplines.
- Teach media at the Foundations level, including drawing, 2D and 3D design, time-based, lens-based, and digital media, within a thematic and conceptual framework.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and success.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the Foundations Director and faculty to ensure a cohesive curriculum and student success.
- MFA in Visual Art, Design, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and make connections across various disciplines in visual art and design.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students.
This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position with a variable schedule based on assignment.
