We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial and municipal jobs related to water and sewer systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the project team to plan, execute, and finalize projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and project documentation
  • Assist in creating project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitor project progress and maintain project records
  • Ensure effective communication between project stakeholders, team members, clients, and subcontractors
  • Ensure quality control is maintained and perform quality control checks, address any issues promptly
  • Ensure all field activities adhere to Apex and municipality standards and specifications
  • Assist in tracking project expenses, reviewing financial reports, and making recommendations to control project costs
  • Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
  • Identify and assess project risks and issues. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate potential problems
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and compliance with project plans
  • Supervise and provide guidance to field teams, ensuring a collaborative and productive working environment
  • Identify needs or deficiencies in training, equipment, and resources and communicate these to the Project Manager
  • Manage the preparation and executing of the project closeout process
  • Handle customer service issues and customer complaints as needed
  • Complete additional tasks assigned to support the effective functioning of the project management process
  • Assist in maintaining progress payments for federal, commercial, and residential projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of construction principles and practices preferred
  • Experience in managing field staff and building relationships with clients
  • Demonstrated track record of jobsite safety excellence
  • Strong computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
