Job Title: Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team at Swinerton. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting management to achieve project profitability and schedule goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend and document project meetings, ensuring accurate minutes are recorded.
  • Set up and maintain electronic filing systems, ensuring all relevant documents are easily accessible.
  • Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with preparation of CPM schedules, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Evaluate and understand basic construction means and methods, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain a site-specific safety plan and pre-task planning process, including audits, meetings, and training.
  • Distribute all documents to subcontractors and maintain document logs, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Evaluate field problems and document PCI's, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain PCI logs on the CMiC system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Review, analyze, and transmit submittals, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Prepare and maintain submittal logs and procurement logs, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Perform expediting functions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Code Accounts Payable Workflows as assigned, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Verify original estimate quantities for labor cost reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Report quantities in place and maintain labor cost reports, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Prepare and document extra work orders, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Review and assemble change order submittals and quantity surveys, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain PCI log in the CMiC system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Set up and maintain a Quality Management system, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain progress photo albums, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Compile contract close-out documents (O&M manuals, as-builts, etc.), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain record set drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Document punch list work, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Perform basic functions of Building Information Modeling and model administration, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Requirements:
  • Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent.
  • Construction-related internship experience preferred.
  • Field experience a plus - e.g., carpenter.
  • BASIC understanding of construction cost accounting.
  • BASIC estimating and scheduling skills.
  • BASIC computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal English language communication skills.
  • Ability to use independent judgment; self-starting.
  • Drafting and advanced computer skills a plus.
  • Knowledge of virtual construction technology systems preferred.
