About Us: OIC of Washington is a reputable organization seeking an experienced Payroll Accounting Professional to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining employee records.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Analyze, prepare, and input payroll data using automated systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws.">
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee information, including exemptions, transfers, and resignations.">
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit required federal and state reports, such as W-2s and 1099s, in a timely manner.">
  • Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, management, and clients to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure smooth operations.">
  • Compliance: Stay current with changing regulatory requirements and ensure the payroll process adheres to all relevant laws and regulations.">
  • Support: Provide support to other members of the Fiscal Department during peak workloads or temporary absences.">
  • Billing: Prepare billing invoices for services rendered or delivery/shipment of goods.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; or Associate's degree in Accounting with 1 year of payroll experience.">
  • Experience: 2 years of mid-level accounting experience, preferably in payroll processing.">
  • Certifications: Familiarity with relevant payroll software and systems.">
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively under pressure.">
