Job Description

SouthLight Healthcare is seeking a Peer Tenancy Services Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will provide individualized, community-based interactions with assigned caseload to promote the development of wellness self-management, personal recovery, natural supports, coping skills, and self-advocacy skills.

This position serves the Durham and Orange county communities, and we provide mileage reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have a current Peer Support Certification, a valid driver's license with a good driving record, and a high school diploma or GED.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote independent living skills through modeling, feedback, and support to individuals around housing needs.
  • Assist clients with self-determination and decision-making.
  • Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal action to encourage wellness.
  • Teach and promote self-advocacy and wellness management.
  • Provide linkage to community resources.
  • Maintain and submit required documentation.

Benefits:

  • Competitive pay: $18.00 per hour.
  • Flexible schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
