Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator and Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Peter Paul Electronics Co. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of CNC machine operation and quality control principles.

About the Role

This position involves operating CNC Lathe equipment, setting up and running jobs according to provided instructions, and ensuring high-quality products are produced. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in setup and operation of CNC machines, with a strong analytical mindset and trouble-shooting skills.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC Lathe equipment safely and efficiently, following standard operating procedures and company guidelines.
  • Set up and run jobs according to provided instructions, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Perform quality control checks on finished products, identifying and reporting any defects or issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and cost reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental and company-wide goals, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in setup and operation of CNC machines, with a strong focus on quality control.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Familiarity with feeds and speeds, as well as various materials such as aluminum, brass, and stainless steel.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in software applications related to CNC machine operation.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this role include lifting up to 50 pounds infrequently, standing or walking frequently, and using hands to change tools, handle or feel objects. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
