Clinical Nurse I

VCU Health is seeking highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurses to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing interventions as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Clinical Nurse I: Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible for compact state licensure, no prior experience required.
- Clinical Nurse II: 12-24 months of RN experience, current RN licensure in Virginia, AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
- Clinical Nurse III: 3 years of clinical experience, current RN licensure in Virginia, AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
- Clinical Nurse I: Experience as an LPN, nursing assistant, or care partner in an acute care setting.
- Clinical Nurse II and III: Academic healthcare experience, experience with similar patient populations in an acute care setting.
- Clinical Nurse I, II, and III: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized and/or approved by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing.
- Clinical Nurse III: Certification in specialty area.
