District Operations Store Manager

As a District Operations Store Manager at Genuine Parts Company, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational effectiveness of our district stores. Your primary goal will be to balance assets to revenue, achieving optimum return on investment. You will also be responsible for achieving sales, profit, and inventory turnover quotas for the district. To accomplish this, you will implement effective processes and control measures in both the office and stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with DC management to analyze and manage operating expenses.
- Achieve district financial objectives and quotas.
- Manage district inventory and physical assets for maximum return.
- Manage delivery fleet and oversee store P-cards and fuel cards.
- Coordinate class returns and MIC orders with DC management.
- Drive processes to resolve bad checks and A/R for the district.
- Process special accounting for IBS operations.
- Lead store implementation of asset protection and safety programs.
- Monitor and maintain accuracy of fixed asset listings.
- Review and interpret district financial and operating information with the DC management team.
- Provide accurate and timely financial projections for the district.
- Develop district expense reserve accounts and review and adjust as needed.
- Develop and prepare ad-hoc financial/business reports.
- Ensure payables are correctly applied and coded.
- Manage store inventory paperwork process through DC and PWR teams.
- Manage physical inventory process in stores.
- Provide DC management team with inventory write-off requirements.
- Monitor gross profit and work with pricing to identify margin opportunities.
- Manage headcount and payroll budgets.
- Oversee and negotiate store service contracts not managed by DC.
- Provide operational guidance and support to store managers.
- Plan and schedule store employee training.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- A four-year business-related degree preferred or equivalent business experience.
- 2-5 years NAPA store operations experience.
- P&L analysis experience.
- Sales-driven and customer-focused.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and leverage electronic communications.
- Able to use company-standard software effectively.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Unquestioned values, judgment, and integrity.
