Enterprise Data Architect Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our team in Dulles, VA. As a key member of our data infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining our data pipelines on AWS.

This is a highly technical position that requires expertise in designing and implementing robust data mesh architectures on AWS, integrating domain-specific data sources like Workday, Deltek, ADP, and Alight. You will take ownership of building and optimizing data pipelines using SnapLogic and other relevant tools, ensuring seamless data flow across the organization.

You will collaborate closely with domain teams to understand their evolving data needs and empower them to manage their own data products. Additionally, you will leverage AWS services to build and maintain a scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platform.

Your primary responsibility will be to enable advanced machine learning initiatives by providing clean, reliable, and well-structured data. You will proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect or in a related role.
  • 2+ years of experience with the backend of an ERP tool.
  • Proficiency in SQL and extensive experience with data modeling and schema design.
  • Experience building and using document and relational databases for production usage.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and other high-level languages.
  • Hands-on experience with data integration tools (ideally SnapLogic) and ETL processes.
  • Experience creating data visualizations using tools like Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Deep familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based data architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Salary:

$70,000 - $142,000 per year
