Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at Franciscan Ministries, a leading provider of senior living services. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Direct Nursing Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of Nursing Assistants to ensure a high level of quality care is maintained.
  • Admission, Transfer, and Discharge: Responsible for the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing disruptions to care.
  • Communication: Keep physicians and other healthcare professionals informed of changes in resident conditions, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Leadership: Supervise Nursing Assistants and may supervise other nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Education and Training: Attend a minimum of 12 annual hours of in-service education to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • Licensure: LPN license for the state in which practicing.
  • Experience: Recent clinical experience, education, and specialty skills specific to geriatrics.
  • Schedule: Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Personality: Must enjoy working with the senior population and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
