- Perform advanced painting tasks, troubleshooting issues, and executing necessary repairs.
- Supervise and mentor team members, providing clear task assignments and evaluating their performance.
- Offer training and support in painting techniques to other maintenance staff.
- Participate in employee evaluations and identify opportunities for professional development.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare time and material estimates, ensuring projects stay within budget and timelines.
- Manage work orders and requisitions, ensuring optimal use of materials.
- Generate regular reports on project status and daily operations.
- Utilize standard painting equipment, including sprayers and power tools, safely and effectively.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, conducting routine inspections and maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Assist supervisors with administrative duties related to scheduling and safety compliance.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of painting methods and OSHA regulations.
- Strong understanding of maintenance principles, including electronics and hydraulics.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to the trade.
- Proficient in using and maintaining painting tools and equipment.
- Capable of interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical ability to handle heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
- Additional education or experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
