Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced painting tasks, troubleshooting issues, and executing necessary repairs.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, providing clear task assignments and evaluating their performance.
  • Offer training and support in painting techniques to other maintenance staff.
  • Participate in employee evaluations and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare time and material estimates, ensuring projects stay within budget and timelines.
  • Manage work orders and requisitions, ensuring optimal use of materials.
  • Generate regular reports on project status and daily operations.
  • Utilize standard painting equipment, including sprayers and power tools, safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, conducting routine inspections and maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Assist supervisors with administrative duties related to scheduling and safety compliance.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of painting methods and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance principles, including electronics and hydraulics.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to the trade.
  • Proficient in using and maintaining painting tools and equipment.
  • Capable of interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Additional education or experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
