Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Professional to join our team at West Bend Insurance Company. As a Senior Claims Representative, you will be responsible for handling moderate to complex bodily injury and specialty claims with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and determine coverage, conduct thorough investigations, evaluate damages and liability.
  • Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
  • Active file management, ensuring proper reserving and participation in training activities.
  • Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service and adherence to department audit guidelines.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with computers and current technology.
  • Interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills and problem-solving skills.
  • 2-3 years prior complex claims handling experience (emphasis on bodily injury).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or related field.
  • Associate in General Insurance designation.
  • Associate in Claims designation.
