Job Title: Financial Implementation Specialist

NSS is seeking a highly skilled Financial Implementation Specialist to join our team. This is a mid-level role within the Contracts and Finance Department.

Job Summary:

The Financial Implementation Specialist will be responsible for supporting various contractual, financial, and bookkeeping responsibilities to ensure compliance with General Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), industry best practices, and substantial improvement of the Contracts and Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research the existing Deltek Cost Point (CP) contract and document the currently purchased modules/components in written narrative for review.
  • Create a master project plan, detailing: scope statement, deliverables, work breakdown structure/tasks, schedule, budget, estimates, costs, payment terms, quality assurance, human resources plan, and major milestones.
  • Assist in data recording, data input, and data acquisition for installing the customized CP with all necessary and new components.
  • Creating a weekly report and monthly report that details: objectives, project status, metrics, and/or KPIs as applicable, progress made in the prior month, planned activities for the upcoming month, potential risks or hurdles that require intervention from senior leadership, accomplishments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration (desired).
  • Six to eight (6 to 8) years of work experience, with a minimum of four (4) years in an aligned discipline (i.e., bookkeeping, finance, accounting, etc.).
  • Working experience within a Government Contracting company highly preferred.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Share Point, Visio).
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Cost Point required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Expanding knowledge and growth in problem-solving, critical thinking, and data analysis.
Salary:

$79,000 - $85,000
