Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Specialist to join our team at the U.S. Courts. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for providing financial support services to the court, including processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process a high volume of financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including cash receipts, registry funds, and deposit funds
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budget reports and financial statements
  • Provide excellent customer service to judges, court managers, staff, and the general public
  • Work collaboratively with the financial administrator and other team members to achieve financial goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Minimum of one year of specialized experience in financial management and administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with accounting software, including JIFMS and JFinSys
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
