CMM Operator

Ingersoll Machine Tools, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of advanced machine tools for the aerospace, transportation, energy, and other heavy industries. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CMM Operator to join our Quality team.
Key Responsibilities- Verify that all parts meet customer requirements as specified in quality plans or other documents using CMM programs or manual layout.
- Ensure that subassemblies meet accuracy requirements specified by engineering specifications and drawings.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned, including assembly shop inspection and machine geometry verification.
- Must have a good basic knowledge of inspection methods, procedures, equipment, and layouts.
- Must be able to markup manufactured parts for finish operations as required by the manufacturing routing.
- Must have a good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT) concepts and be able to interpret these basic concepts.
- Must be able to complete basic CMM accuracy check-out as required by the CMM calibration schedule.
- Must be able to complete basic CMM maintenance as specified.
- Some computer skills required.
- At least two years' experience in a similar field.
- Machine shop background required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Work requires general education to prepare reports, perform calculations, keep records, and interact effectively with people.
- Must be a team player.
- Must work overtime as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
