Job Overview:

  • This position requires a skilled physician to provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administer safe and effective preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative anesthesia care for patients.
  2. Collaborate closely with surgeons, surgical teams, and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal patient care plans.
  3. Continuously monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary to maintain patient safety and stability.
  4. Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and critical situations during surgery.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training program in anesthesiology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Board certification in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Alaska.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience providing anesthesia care in a clinical setting.
