About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Village Hotels. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Strategy and Operations
    • Develop and implement a food strategy that aligns with the company's commercial goals and objectives.
    • Ensure that all aspects of kitchen activity are coordinated to create a professional, safe, hygienic, and cost-effective environment.
  • Team Management and Development
    • Establish and maintain clear lines of communication within the kitchen operations and with Front of House staff.
    • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food items are delivered, handled, cooked, and served to company specification to drive quality and value that ensures great guest experiences.
    • Adhere strictly to food hygiene regulations and H&S procedures according to FRESH, HACCP, and EHO directives.
  • Performance Management and Reporting
    • Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to benchmark individual team members' performance in terms of sales and quality.
    • Review wage cost and ensure staffing levels are at the appropriate levels to drive conversion and in line with budget.
