Role: Cloud Operations Specialist

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Cloud Operations and Software Development.
  • Proficiency in Windows/Linux environments, CI/CD tools for .Net and Java (such as Jenkins and VSTS/Azure DevOps), as well as automation and containerization technologies.
  • Familiarity with multiple programming languages including Bash, C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, and VB; knowledge of JQuery is an advantage.
  • Experience with Source Code Management systems, particularly Bitbucket (Stash/Git) and VSTS.
  • Strong grasp of AGILE software development practices and standard software development toolsets.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts including DNS, routing, and subnets.
  • Knowledge of security hardening principles, including encryption, firewalls, and proxies.
  • Experience with F5 load balancers is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, escalate issues, and communicate effectively.
  • Capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Implement CI/CD strategies based on Configuration-as-Code and Pipeline-as-Code methodologies.
  • Administer and maintain established CI/CD pipelines, ensuring system availability, performance, and capacity.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to enhance deployment, provisioning, and integration workflows.
  • Design and deploy application infrastructures that encompass complex systems and services.
  • Participate in on-call shifts and perform off-hours maintenance as required.
  • Investigate new technologies that could enhance and improve our DevOps platforms.
  • Engage with management, cross-functional technical teams, and occasionally interact with third-party vendors.
