At OU Health - 700 NE 13th, we are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a mentor/preceptor to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and consistently report to work as scheduled. You will also be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs, maintain accurate records, and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.

Key responsibilities of this role include preparing patients for procedures, correlating clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians, and communicating and collaborating with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team. You will also utilize a variety of highly specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional and/or surgical procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to apply principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, positioning of patients, and medical ethics.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Ability to be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work and communicate with staff, patients and their families, and meet their needs in a professional, polite, courteous, compassionate, and cooperative manner.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Core knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology; cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies and terminology associated with the primary specialty for which hired and credentialed.
