POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of Production Floor Coordinator within the Cut & Sew Department is vital for maintaining seamless operations throughout the manufacturing process. This position entails the distribution, organization, and supervision of tasks on the sewing floor, alongside the assignment of duties to sewers under the direction of the Department Manager.
SHIFT DETAILS:
This position offers two shifts: 5:30 am to 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Control: Identify and report any defective materials or questionable conditions to the Department Lead, ensuring product quality is upheld.
- Sewing Proficiency: Basic garment sewing skills are essential for enhancing departmental efficiency.
- Workspace Organization: Maintain a tidy and safe work environment, complying with safety regulations.
- Operational Versatility: Engage in various tasks such as boxing, taping, gluing, stamping, cutting, and conducting inspections, requiring familiarity with machine functions.
- Supervisory Support: Be receptive to guidance and assistance, particularly in machine setup, to facilitate smooth production.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily paperwork in accordance with the provided schedule, essential for tracking progress.
- Inventory Oversight: Organize inventory effectively throughout the day for easy access to materials.
- Sanitation Duties: Contribute to workplace cleanliness by performing tasks such as sweeping and mopping.
- Adaptability: Be prepared to undertake additional work-related duties as necessary to meet production needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Basic garment sewing skills are a must.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Basic mathematical competency is required.
- Ability to manage physical workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong sense of accountability and responsibility is expected.
- Collaboration skills across all organizational levels are important.
- Compliance with relevant policies and regulations is mandatory.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, with occasional walking.
- Regular verbal communication and auditory comprehension.
- Repetitive physical motions throughout the shift.
- High manual dexterity and close visual attention for hand operations.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs as needed.
