Job Summary:

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of all employees, contractors, and visitors at our construction site. This includes conducting regular site inspections, developing and implementing the Project Safety Plan, providing safety training and awareness programs, investigating incidents and accidents, and maintaining accurate records of all safety-related activities and incidents.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Safety Plan.
  • Provide safety training and awareness programs to all site personnel.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is in good working order and readily available.
  • Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities and incidents.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies such as OSHA and keep abreast of new safety regulations and standards.
  • Implement emergency procedures and conduct drills as necessary.
  • Promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Manager in the construction industry.
  • Be located in the Chicagoland area.
  • Experience in a safety role within a construction company.
  • OSHA 30.
  • Civil construction experience is a plus.
