Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Dignity Health's Chandler Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care within the scope of practice as set forth by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
  • Obtain medical history, perform physical examinations, formulate differential diagnosis, and establish a treatment plan in collaboration with the treating physician and nursing staff.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and other diagnostic tests within scope of practice.
  • Write orders and prescribe medications, including controlled substances.
  • Instruct and counsel patients and their family regarding the diagnosis, treatment plan, and medications.
  • Make referrals to ancillary departments and outside agencies.
  • Formulate discharge plan and work in collaboration with case management to ensure safe, timely discharge.
  • Write discharge prescriptions and educate patients on medications.
  • Complete hospital and department documentation legibly, accurately, and within designated timeframe.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • 3 years clinical experience.
  • Current AZ RN license.
  • Current AZ Nurse Practitioner license.
  • National Certification in a Nurse Practitioner specialty (ANP, ACNP, FNP).
  • Current DEA certificate.
  • American Heart Association BLS.
  • American Heart Association ACLS.
  • Credentialed as allied health professional with CRMC and MGMC required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year Experience as Neurosurgery NP preferred.
