Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Chandler Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care to patients admitted to Neurosurgery, including obtaining medical history, performing physical examinations, and establishing treatment plans in collaboration with the treating physician and nursing staff.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, write orders and prescribe medications, including controlled substances, and instruct and counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and medications.
  • Make referrals to ancillary departments and outside agencies, formulate discharge plans, and work collaboratively with case management to ensure safe and timely discharge.
  • Complete hospital and department documentation legibly, accurately, and within designated timeframes.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • 3 years clinical experience.
  • Current AZ RN license.
  • Current AZ Nurse Practitioner license.
  • National Certification in a Nurse Practitioner specialty (ANP, ACNP, FNP).
  • Current DEA certificate.
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Credentialed as an allied health professional with CRMC and MGMC.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year experience as a Neurosurgery NP preferred.
