Job Summary

Central Pacific Bank is seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for originating and closing residential mortgage loans, building relationships with clients, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and close a minimum level of residential mortgage loans per month.
  • Interview applicants to determine their ability to qualify for a mortgage loan.
  • Analyze the applicant's financial situation to qualify them for the correct loan amount and mortgage program.
  • Input customer information into the loan origination system and other necessary systems.
  • Make recommendations regarding credit decisions on residential mortgages.
  • Monitor loan files throughout the entire process.
  • Comply with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations, as well as the bank's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3+ years of experience in the mortgage industry, with a solid knowledge of mortgage loans, qualifying criteria, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to perform light physical work and move or lift items up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to read and understand bank-related documents.
  • Ability to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time.
