Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite technical support to customers, ensuring timely and professional response to service needs.
  • Analyze and diagnose hardware and storage area network issues, utilizing diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques to ensure effective resolution.
  • Perform service in a cost-effective manner, minimizing downtime and multiple trips.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and our customer support center during the repair process.
  • Utilize multiple tools for remote system connection to perform remote diagnosis, repair, or configuration changes.
  • Follow customer-specific repair procedures and assess current and future customer needs based on system usage.
  • Manage inventory and parts, determining needed parts and quantities based on contracts in the service area.
Requirements
  • Minimum seven (7) years of specific experience working with OEM data center hardware.
  • Successful prior field experience.
  • Solid technical aptitude and understanding of different OEM equipment.
  • Ability to work long and/or unusual hours while maintaining effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer service and ability to put customer needs first.
  • Proven ability to work independently, exhibiting leadership and collaboration when working with others.
  • CompTIA A+ and Server + certifications required.
  • Valid driver's license and appropriate driving record based on position travel requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification and other OEM computer hardware certifications from major vendors.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Travel Requirements

Must be able to travel to client sites up to 75% of the time within a predetermined territory radius.
