Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to join our team at Hooker Furnishings Corporation. As a CAD Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our fabric and leather patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

* Digitize fabric and leather patterns into our CAD system
* Develop and maintain models, variants, and markers for each active style
* Provide cost data for fabric patterns and kits
* Analyze new fabrics and Customers Own Material (C.O.M.) to determine how each fabric is run
* Check repeat measurements on all fabrics to ensure quality consistency
* Assist with daily needs of the Cutting, Sewing, Upholstery, and C.O.M. departments
* Aid the customer service team with yardage quotes
* Develop cost profiles for market samples
* Assist with training new CAD room employees
* Review work developed by others before releasing to production
* Maintain system maintenance with daily backups and file management

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or other STEM-related field (education can be substituted with experience)
* Previous experience with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD) preferred
* Previous experience in Fabric Cutting, Sewing, or Upholstery preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
* Ability to manage time effectively
* Detail-oriented
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment
