SAIC FPGA Engineer Job Description

SAIC is seeking a talented FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing FPGA-based solutions for DoD applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define FPGA requirements and architecture
  • Design, implement, and optimize FPGA firmware using VHDL, Verilog, Altium, or others
  • Conduct FPGA simulations and functional verification to ensure design correctness and performance
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate FPGA designs into target hardware platforms
  • Troubleshoot and debug FPGA designs as needed
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in FPGA development
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Five or more years of related experience
  • Solid understanding of FPGA architecture, design methodologies, and development tools
  • Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog programming languages
  • Experience with FPGA synthesis and timing closure
  • Familiarity with FPGA simulation and verification techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Prior experience in DoD programs and systems is a plus
Clearance:

Must be a US Citizen and willing to obtain a Secret security clearance

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.

SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
