Job Summary

The Construction Estimator is a key member of our team at K2 Staffing, LLC, responsible for supporting the preconstruction effort for various disciplines. This includes quantity surveying, subcontractor solicitation, and independent research of specified items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preconstruction Support: Assist in the preparation of consistently accurate and detailed quantity surveys.
  • Subcontractor Solicitation: Identify, research, and obtain relevant information related to items for which they are tasked with quantifying or soliciting subcontractor proposals.
  • Project Cost Estimation: Independently develop complete project cost estimate packages for projects in a range up to $5 million, depending on complexity.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
  • Skills: Excellent listening and communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (Timberline or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
  • Personal Qualities: Careful attention to detail, resourcefulness in acquiring project-specific information, and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment

The Construction Estimator will work in an office/job site setting, frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud, and this position is performed in outside weather conditions.
