HVAC/Facilities Technician Job Description

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in the pharmaceutical industry to fill a critical role for an HVAC/Facilities Technician. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all plant systems in a cGMP environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and perform maintenance on facility systems, including boilers, chillers, air handling units, pumps, and HVAC/R units.
  • Administer chemical treatment systems and follow cGMP standard operating procedures.
  • Sanitize systems monthly and maintain documentation and logbooks.
  • Procure parts and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Schedule and coordinate project work, supervising contractual labor and external vendor activities.
  • Perform annual preventative maintenance inspections and certification of mechanical systems.
  • Fabricate and install plant equipment designed by Engineering or outside vendors.
  • Provide production support on automated manufacturing and packaging machinery as required.
Requirements:
  • Vocational certificate or degree in HVAC/R or similar training preferred.
  • 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with a vocational degree, or 12 years' experience working in HVAC/R with no degree.
  • 2nd Class B or higher license required.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated industry preferred.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products required.
  • Refrigerant Transition and Recovery certification preferred.
  • Awareness of hazards associated with steam, refrigerants, and treatment chemicals.
  • Exposure/experience to GMP environments.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting PLC, Servo drives, and VFD's.
  • Full understanding of thermos-dynamics and concepts.

This is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive salary range of $76,000 - $84,000+, plus a 4% annual bonus and $5,000 sign-on bonus.
