Recooty is in search of a proficient SAFe Release Train Engineer who will be instrumental in bridging strategic objectives with execution, while managing the activities of various teams to ensure that value delivery aligns with our client's vision.

Remote Work:This position allows for remote work, requiring collaboration within the East Coast Timezone.

Required Experience:

  • Over 5 years of experience in Agile Software Development, particularly with scaled Agile Frameworks like SAFe.
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated success in leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer certification is mandatory.
  • SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification is preferred but not essential.

Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate ART planning events, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, to synchronize the efforts of multiple Agile teams.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Product Owners, and stakeholders to prioritize features and define PI objectives.
  • Ensure that ART objectives are in alignment with the overall business strategy and client requirements.
  • Act as a servant leader and mentor for Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Lead ART ceremonies such as Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops, and System Demos to enhance transparency and problem-solving.
  • Address impediments and dependencies that may obstruct ART progress, collaborating with teams and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement within the ART, utilizing metrics and feedback to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Coach teams on Agile and SAFe principles, fostering a culture of learning and high performance.
  • Implement Agile engineering practices, DevOps principles, and Lean-Agile methodologies to improve delivery efficiency and quality.
  • Communicate ART progress, dependencies, risks, and impediments to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with Release Management, Program Management, and other stakeholders to manage cross-ART dependencies and ensure successful delivery of integrated solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners, facilitating effective communication and alignment of priorities.
  • Champion the adoption of SAFe practices and principles throughout the organization, driving Agile transformation.
  • Partner with Agile Coaches, Lean-Agile Leaders, and other RTEs to establish Agile Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and communities of practice, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Lead by example, embodying Agile values and principles, inspiring teams to embrace change and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in Agile software development, focusing on scaled Agile frameworks like SAFe.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and facilitating Program Increment (PI) Planning events.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and servant leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging diverse groups.
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, Lean-Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Agile tools and frameworks (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Rally) and proficiency in Agile metrics and reporting.
  • Must be eligible to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
