Job Title: NWDTP Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Instructor to join our team as a NWDTP Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to our clients, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and maintaining the highest standards of training quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs to meet the needs of our clients, including the National Weapons Detection Training Program (NWDTP)
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and maintain the highest standards of training quality
  • Plan and schedule training sessions, ensuring effective use of resources and minimizing downtime
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of training programs
  • Assist in the development and revision of lesson plans and training materials
  • Provide training related to current and anticipated tactical, operational, and strategic threats
  • Other duties as assigned relative to the National Weapons Detection Training Program (NWDTP) and/or the Protected Security Officer operations efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years of training experience in civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service
  • Completed an approved and accredited Principles of Instruction course and Firearms Training through a reputable organization (e.g. NRA, Police Academy, State POST Academy, FLETC or military training course)
  • Appropriate certifications to perform First Aid, CPR, AED, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, Baton, OC Spray, Firearms, and NWDTP Instructions
  • Prior experience as an instructor on a FPS contract is highly preferred

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry awkward items. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday. Must be able to pass physical agility test and medical clearance certification.
