Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at Fixins Soul Kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktails, and be able to craft exceptional beverages for our discerning clientele.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and Serve Beverages - Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency.
  • Expert Knowledge - Possess an extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beer, and cocktails, including classic and contemporary creations.
  • Recommendations - Provide expert recommendations based on guests' preferences and food pairings.
  • Bar Maintenance - Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment and glassware is spotless.
  • Inventory Management - Manage inventory and place orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other bar supplies.
  • Liquor Laws and Regulations - Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations, including age verification and responsible serving.
  • Customer Service - Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport with guests and anticipating their needs.
  • Team Collaboration - Collaborate with the bar and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications
  • Experience - Minimum of 2-3 years of bartending experience in an upscale restaurant or upscale bar.
  • Knowledge - Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beer, and cocktail preparation techniques.
  • Communication Skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Environment - Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physical Demands - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Age and Background - Must be of legal drinking age and able to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal Education - Formal bartending education or certification.
  • Technical Skills - Experience with point-of-sale systems.
  • Wine and Beverage Knowledge - Knowledge of wine pairings and food and beverage service.
