Café Stella, a renowned French bistro located in a vibrant area, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Culinary Specialist to enhance our kitchen team. Known for our exquisite French dishes and warm atmosphere, we pride ourselves on providing an outstanding dining experience. As a Culinary Specialist at Café Stella, your role will involve preparing and presenting dishes with accuracy, collaborating closely with our Head Chef to uphold the exceptional standards of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu offerings according to Café Stella's established recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Efficiently operate various kitchen stations, including grill, sauté, and pantry.
  • Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented consistently, aligning with the restaurant's aesthetic and flavor standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to create and implement seasonal menus.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including your personal workstation and equipment.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring a safe and hygienic workspace.
  • Assist in managing inventory, including tracking stock levels and reporting any shortages.
  • Perform effectively under pressure during busy service periods to deliver dishes promptly.
  • Engage in daily preparation and production tasks to ensure readiness for service.
  • Experience in preparing and executing dishes for breakfast, brunch, and dinner service is advantageous, as our menu caters to all meal periods, offering guests a diverse and high-quality dining experience throughout the day.
  • Communicate efficiently with fellow kitchen staff to facilitate smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Culinary Specialist in a fast-paced restaurant setting, ideally with a focus on French cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and navigate high-pressure situations with composure and efficiency.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality culinary creations.
  • Team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a positive demeanor.
  • Experience in French restaurants or with French culinary techniques is highly desirable.
  • Culinary education is a plus, but not mandatory.
