Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized developmental care plans for pediatric patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide emotional support and education to patients and families
  • Facilitate play and recreational activities to promote emotional and psychological well-being
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on coping with hospitalization and medical procedures
  • Contribute to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse internal and external workforce and patient population

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Life/Child Development or related field
  • 500 hours of Child Life internship and one year experience in child development/education center
  • Experience in hospital-based Child Life program preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
  • Child Life Certification exam within one year of hire
