Job Title: Diesel Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake and tire work, and other preventative maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and other components.
  • Conduct inspections and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and repair issues with diesel engines and other systems.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance; experience with heavy-duty trucks and equipment preferred.
  • Basic tools required; ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
