We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake and tire work, and other preventative maintenance activities.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and other components.
- Conduct inspections and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and repair issues with diesel engines and other systems.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance; experience with heavy-duty trucks and equipment preferred.
- Basic tools required; ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
