Position Overview:
The NSW Wargame Planner at Command Holdings is tasked with providing expert guidance and support in the formulation of wargame strategies, designs, capabilities, and operational concepts for endorsement by the Commander of Naval Special Warfare Command. This role is pivotal in aligning with both existing and newly established policies from various governmental levels.

Key Responsibilities:
The Wargame Planner will engage in the following activities:

  • Offer strategic advice and assist in crafting wargame plans, designs, and operational concepts for the Commander of Naval Special Warfare Command.
  • Collaborate with various commands, institutions, and industries to stay abreast of the latest trends and technological advancements, understanding their implications for NSW plans and policies.
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations on emerging technologies and innovative methodologies relevant to NSW programs.
  • Organize and facilitate wargames and planning exercises as directed by the Commander.
  • Develop and present Project Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and conduct Initial Concept Briefs (ICB) for assigned projects, ensuring timelines are mutually agreed upon.

Work Environment:
The work setting may involve moderate to loud noise levels, including business office environments and operational areas. The role requires the ability to sit at a computer for extended periods and work in various environments, including remote and rural locations.

Physical Demands:
Responsibilities include sitting, standing, and using hands for computer operations. The ability to drive in diverse environments is necessary, and reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel is expected, primarily for offsite meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in executive decision-making, policy development, and operational planning.
  • Significant experience in special operations and familiarity with current military operations.
  • Outstanding communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's Degree and completion of advanced military studies are advantageous.
