Job Title: Automotive Service Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our team at Allentown Kia. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience when visiting our dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet Customers: Greet customers warmly and assess their vehicle service needs, providing expert advice and recommendations.
  • Document Vehicle Issues: Listen to customer concerns and accurately document their vehicle issues, ensuring all information is conveyed to the service technicians.
  • Prepare Service Orders: Prepare detailed service orders and cost estimates, explaining recommended services and associated costs to customers.
  • Coordinate with Technicians: Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep Customers Informed: Keep customers informed throughout the service process, providing updates on the status of their vehicles.
  • Manage Appointments: Manage customer appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimizing wait times.
  • Review Completed Work: Review completed work with customers, explaining repairs and services performed, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Handle Customer Inquiries: Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Kia vehicles, service procedures, and warranty policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive maintenance and repair processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to explain complex technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in using dealership management software and basic computer applications.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing top-notch service.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
