Job Overview:

The role of Technology Operations Manager is pivotal in leading our IT Cybersecurity initiatives. This position is tasked with overseeing the effectiveness and performance of the organization's technology and network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, analyze, design, and recommend security measures, configurations, and implementations for IT initiatives.
  • Enhance the integration and efficacy of deployed technologies.
  • Automate response protocols for identified threats.
  • Assist in the formulation, design, and execution of an Information Security strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide insights on strategic and product-level roadmaps concerning security features and practical applications.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and pinpoint opportunities to bolster overall Cybersecurity.
  • Conduct market assessments of new tools and methodologies to improve security posture.
  • Maintain vigilance regarding cybersecurity threats, events, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Support the planning, testing, tracking, and remediation of identified weaknesses in cybersecurity operations.
  • Identify, develop, and enhance cybersecurity operations processes.
  • Design security solutions and outline requirements for their implementation.
  • Collaborate with the IT risk assessment team to ensure appropriate security configurations and controls are applied to IT projects.
  • Act as a trusted internal advisor, offering security services and guidance on security matters, while assisting with alternative control measures when security requirements cannot be fulfilled.
  • Research, identify, deploy, integrate, and manage cybersecurity operations technologies.
  • Assess the advantages and disadvantages of security solutions in relation to business strategies.
  • Identify gaps and deficiencies in cybersecurity operations technology and recommend corrective measures.
  • Document findings and recommendations, including root cause and risk analyses.
  • Assist with forensic investigations and activities of the incident response team (CIRT).
  • Delegate tasks to the Cyber SOC for remediation efforts.
  • Timely escalate relevant findings.
  • Utilize vendors and internal resources to connect various security tools for automating critical response tasks.
  • Support Compliance managers in delivering Cybersecurity documentation.
  • Align cybersecurity operations with NIST and ISO 27001 standards.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Experience with cloud services and APIs.
  • Proficient understanding of firewall, router, network switch, VOIP, and wireless architecture and operations.
  • Experience in forensic investigations.
  • Experience with security incident and investigation reporting.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.
  • Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented in investigations and communications.
  • Ability to manage confidential investigations with discretion.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing workload effectively.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, and/or SQL is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) is a plus.
  • Desired Certifications: CISSP, GSEC, Security+, Vendor Certifications.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Working knowledge of various Information Security domains.

  • A minimum of 6 years in cybersecurity.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in a cybersecurity architect role.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in perimeter security administration (Web proxy, SMTP gateway, firewall).
  • 7 - 10 years of experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience with endpoint protection tools.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience working with threat intelligence feeds and IOCs.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (minimum).
